followed the Tigers to many places and never, never have I been treated as badly as at VT. It was horrible.
Glennon is a JR.......our running game is pretty solid, Brandon Ore was named first team ACC RB over CJ Spiller and James Davis.
Cry me a freakin river man..........the worst I saw a LSU fan treated was with some 4 letter words and I saw many Hokies telling those drunk fans to shut their mouths......VT is known for the friendly fans just like LSU. Very friendly environment as long as you're not a WVU Mountaineer. The proof is in the pudding my friend......the so called riot.....two fan bases lined up opposite on main street chanting their teams fight songs......not a single fight broke out.
Welcome to the board! VT will be one of our top games this year, with Fla., Bama, and Auburn, S. Carolina and Arky. I think VT may be the toughest. Our QB is a question mark, only started one game, but he won in a blowout over Miami, which was #10, but overrated IMO. He's a fifth year sr. so game experience is an issue, but maturity will not be. He doesn't have the cannon that Russell had last year, but nobody does. He seems accurate on short and medium passes, and he is much more mobile than Russell. We lost 2 great wide outs, and we have some kids with press clippings and no game experience. Our running game was suspect most of last season, until true Fresh. Keiland Williams started to come on, with the o-line. We have several soph and redshirt fresh running backs with press clips and little game experience. We have a sr. running back, Broussard, who is a bruiser when healthy, but he had an ACL two years ago, sat out a season, and was slow and out of shape last season. I'm hoping he is in shape and ready to go, he had a very good soph season. Our defense will be in the vacinity of as good as yours, so there should be some good D played that night. It's a pick it IMO. I look forward to seeing how these two fine teams perform early in the season. I'm glad we're playing in the friendly confines of TS (friendly for us!). Stick around, and invite a couple of buds who enjoy talking football! This appears to be one of the best games of the whole football season.
I remember Keiland Williams......he was actually down to VT and LSU as his final two choices.........was disappointed we didn't land him.
I am pretty sure it was USC and LSU battling it out for him in the end but VT was probably 3rd in the running. Welcome to the Board.
You could be right about USC......in that case it was a three team battle......but VT was definitely in it till the end.
Correct bhelm, he was recruited pretty hard by USC but we got 'em. :thumb: He was a huge PART of the salvation in losing that other guy this year. I say "Part" cause I'm aware we have other talented RB's as well.
Yes but he also Prepped at Hargrave in Virginia.......and we land a lot of kids out of there. I apologize for overlooking USC.
