Brady's teams, at least when Stro was here and they made it to the elite eight or whatever it was seemed to play better defense. I didn't see the game but I really don't think this team has played good d the last few years. just my opinion
If Brady's teams have always been consistent in one specific part of the game, it has been sound defensive play. Today's game was very disappointing in that regard.
true. maybe with some brady screaming in practice this will get fixed. it's early, maybe it is good to remind a bunch of kids that you have to work on D, or lose.
I didn't even realize the game was on...What did the conditioning look like? Were we physically able to stay with them in the end? Was it that West Virginia is that good, or is it that LSU played that badly? Nothing negative yet, especially since I didn't see the game itself...But, what do you guys diagnose as the main defensive problems, since Brady seemingly always has a hang your hat on defense...
Conditioning looked fine but the defense looked horrible. Many wide open jump shots by WV and easy passes to players cutting to the basket.
Just a very very poorly played game defensively. The back door cuts were there for WV all day and they were getting easy layups. I am hesitant to fault LSU TOO much for not defending the three though because WV was shooting lights out from three point range. They were hitting them beyond nba range, some with guys in their face, etc. Looked like WV simply worked the backdoor cuts to perfection and LSU would try to adjust to stop those. Just when they would try, WV would hit a huge biomb from outside. Overall, we looked very confused on defense for this game. I doubt Brady will allow another defensive performance like that any time soon.
tigers looked lost on defense...this was a very poor gameplan by Brady today...he was definitely outcoached...WVU averaged over 30 3-point shots per game and we knew it was coming yet we still couldn't get a hand in anyone's face...wide open shots all night long the good thing is our offense showed some good signs...since Brady is a defensive minded coach, i am not too pissed about this loss since those problems can be corrected rather easily IMO
I can't make a comment or even joke around a little? Why don't you go and get a sense of humor? It will be a long season with Brady Ball IMO. Oh yes thats right, some of us are lesser fans than you because we might criticize your team once in a while. Its all about W's and L's to you, you don't care if your team just gets buy division II teams. Go back to your Saints! :thumb:
