1. Exactly, recruiting was not his problem.
  2. I'll agree with this commenter
  3. I wouldn't say either was a bad coach, but for the most part SEC coaches would be rated differently by everyone, since there are so many good ones.

I would probably say the "Alabama Light" ccomment had something to do with tradition, but it definatly is an anger inducing statement for competitors like LSU.

Id say Les Miles is at #10 because he doesnt have those "stand out" achievements that alot of coaches have. Most have a couple and Saban has quite a few of them.(not record-wise, but building programs wise). Miles has done a good job, but so far hasn't done anything stoodouttiesh, so he might be docked a few spots for that,

Just my take on the reasoning.
  4. The comments below the article sum it up pretty well with most saying that Saban should no way be #1 on the list. The list is humourous and that is about it.

My favorite comment so far was "is this list upside down":hihi:

I also saw that Miles is still very much under the radar and that can only mean that Miles will be more than happy to play that role and prove his worth as a coach. I hope he never gets his due for that matter. I know he isnt high on praise for himself and he will use all the tools he can get as motivation for himself and the team.

  5. BCS victory doesn't mean as much as it used to I guess. And I suppose the SECCG doesn't really count if you don't win it.

Miles achieved more in 05' than any other coach will ever have to achieve in their careers. People just choose not to acknowledge that. Tiger fans do and that's all that matters.
  6. Now I didn't say all that, I am just saying what he has done hasnt stood out for critics.

  8. Alabama's more like a frozen drink.
  9. I'm so glad this writer threw some crumbs to Alabama. They are so starved for attention. I guess when Miles beats Bama for the 3rd year in a row at Bama he might be the 6th best coach in the league and Saban may drop to #2. Gee, if CLM and the Tigers win a NC then our coach might make the top 5. Of course they can still say it was with Saban's players.

  10. Despite the fact that Don Shula thinks that Saban is a nappy-headed ho, I'd say that Saban is a very good coach who should exceed his LSU championship accomplishments at Bama in a mere four years.

All of the smart-insider Bama fans know this to be true . . . not the part about what Don Shula thinks of Saban, but, the part about championships.

    :crystal: LSU!
