They said it was a knee sprain last night.. not a tear. He was walking around so hopefully this 2 weeks off give him the time to be at 100%. He'll play no doubt... but at what level of intensity only time will tell.

I'm not shocked to be seeing this already. You know, over the last 10 years of our games the average victory has been less than a touchdown?

Right now, LSU has a definite talent and depth advantage over the majority of the SEC. I haven't started breaking down the positions and match-ups yet, but I don't see the win being "big."

Of course, you definition of "big" is subjective, I'm sure. ;)

I'm not talking a 50 point blow out... i'm sure Bama will get some points on the board... but I think we'll win by 17.

I am also talking about Bama's inability to run the ball on us... so they'll have to rely heavily on the pass. JPW is a decent QB... but I think we're gonna get a lot of pressure on him, and if we convert Bama to a one deminsional offense... I think Bama turns the ball over 3-4 times in the air this game. This is Miles unofficial bowl game of the regular season.

That's a logical way to look at it from an LSU perspective. LSU and Bama are ranked 1 and 2 in turnover margin this season so I think that 3-4 Int's are high.

JPW came out strong, then leveled off for a few games. It was expected considering it was a new offensive scheme. However, he's only had one turnover this year that had a negative effect...as in resulted in points being scored.

We'll see if this game ends up like the other games have been. Strong for the 1st and 4th quarter...or strong for 60 minutes.

FWIW, about 40% of the offensive yards have come on the ground this year. That being said, we haven't faced an defensive backfield that was so senior laden.

Bama played "down" to Ole Miss's level. Kentucky and Florida were hard games for the Tigers. In my opinion, LSU had better bring their very best game here. Bama is a lot better than anyone thought they would be. They play smash mouth and smart. If LSU can win out with the schedule they had, and win the SECCG, they better be in the championship game. Saban and Miles will have a lot of input here, of course, but neither will play a down. LSU had better be ready or settle for a lessor bowl.:geauxtige
