You know, I may be out of line and may take some flak for saying something to "col reb" who seems to be highly regarded around here as a fair, rival poster. However, when someone comes on here and chastises a guy for not paying money for a forum is below the belt.

Alright, you can pay $20 to post on a board...you know what? You get more features, you can do a lot of things us non-contributors can't. That is what you pay for and personally I don't have the money, at the moment, to put down for those features I can live without. Opinions and posting here don't require you to pay...if that were the case then I would be somewhere else.

You want the mods to come on here and punish the guy because he hasn't paid any money? I don't think that is the point of a forum, especially this one. We all come here to hear and post about LSU at the bottom of it all, not to pay money.

Congratulations, you paid your twenty dollars. Congratulations you got your benefits...I still cannot click on a picture link or set an avatar. However, there is one thing I do know...your still an Ole Piss fan and there should be no reason for you to come on an LSU board and criticize our members...especially one that posts as much as TerryP.

I agree with you 100%... it's not about the money you donate but what you contribute. Hell i've been here for a while and just now donated. i just figured what the hell... i help eat bandwidth. Besides if I waited to have the money i'd just spemd it on something else anyway. If I wasn't posting here i'd en up at the bars with my buds shooting pool and drinking 3-4 coronas and waste a $20 anyway. But to each his own. I could careless who contributes money or not. I just like the comradery here.

There are a couple of LSU guys here that use that "contributer" line against me often. It doesn't bother me. Twenty bucks isn't a lot of money. But, like you have said, the pics aren't something that interest me that much and neither do avatars. Heck, I don't use an avatar anywhere. On a lot of forums I have the graphics in signatures, etc. turned off. Add to that, the other forums here have no attraction to me as well. I may post 10-12 a year on the recruiting forum and post here on average about 1 time a day...at least, that is what it balances out to. PM's, don't really use them often except to occasionally share some news with tiga.

It's funny in the sense that I told tiga some while ago that if the member base could go 60 days without using that ole' line in response to a post (versus being actually able to discuss it) I'd cough up the 20 the day it happened. They've barely made it past the 30 day mark since I told him that. Heck, I've seen it 3-4 times in the last 24 hours...but, look at where LSU will be in 2 weeks.

You'll find, when it is normally said, it's used by someone who wants to "flame" a post but doesn't have anything other than that line to respond to it.

In other words, don't sweat it.
