#2 Collins #23 Johnson #27 Hilliard #32 Landry Rivals usually ends up with anywhere from 26-31 players as 5 stars. I gotta believe Landry moves up into the top 25 or better after his Under Armour bowl showing. WR Sammy Wadkins is at #25 and I gotta believe he'll swap places with him, at the very least. No way Freak Johnson drops at all. If this unfolds, look for LSU to finish either 3rd or 4th in the overall rankings.
I dont follow recruiting that much, but I am guessing that they will re-evaluate these kids rankings?
We should have a least a couple of our guys move from 3 to 4 stars as well. I know Scout will be bumping 3 or 4 of them. Trevon Randle, Magee, Turner, Collins are guys who have the best shot to move up on Rivals.
And if that happens as well, we are looking at a near 700 point boost without adding another recruit. Now we are talking solid #3 and a push for #1 depending on Bama and Texas and the max they can sign.
Last ranking should be around the 17th of this month (Monday after next). LSU could vault it's way to pretty close to the top spot if the players get their bump that deserve it.
I think I remember Rivals saying they won't have as many 5 stars this year. Hilliard is almost surely going to drop based on their comments. Freak/Collins should be a lock. Landry is on the fence. I wouldn't rule out Jenkins moving way up in the rankings too. Maybe not a 5 star but in the top 100.
Landry will be on the edge of 5* status with Rivals but it is between him and Arnett (Tenn WR Commit) for the 5* on Scout.
