I believe the offense should be offensive. When you pass all the time the OL becomes defensive and passive. Run the ball at first and get the OL into the game. Then pass downfield I totally agree
Russell Shepherd is an outstanding athlete. He needs to get more touches running down hill or on screen plays in space.
You know who else? Peyton Manning, Tom Brady and Drew Brees... I don't want my QB allowing emotions to seep through oin the field and neither does any QB coach or offensive coordinator who has ever been paid for their services. If you want emotion and anger, go sit in the student section.
Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig difference in my opinion, Aaron Brooks just didn't give a shyt. It would be difficult to credibly argue that JJ's play during the Vandy game was attributable to a piss poor attitude like Aaron Brooks had. I have never seen JJ run off the field after throwing an incompletion ont third down laughing. JJ got criticized by some for doing the "hand over the face" after throwing a TD to RR in the UNC game. Thats emotion, thats the kind of swagge I like to see from him. I would venture to guess he didn't get too pumped up in the Vandy game because he knew he wasn't playing well. You pay your money and I guess that entitles you to do whatever you want but if anyone boos JJ Saturday night, even if he makes a bad play or poor decision, the aren't a Tiger fan IMHO. No place for that in Death Valley $00.02
Very Calm? Are we talking about the same person? The kid always looks panicked to me. While much better than last year, his pocket presence is still one of stare at one receiver then get hoppy and throw a wild pass when pressured.
But if you watch these 3 QBs they all exude something that JJ does not. Complete control of the offense. No situation gets to them. That ,so far, is not the case with JJ.
