No, at home. I was too damn tired to leave the house. Been on the phone with my sister and brother-in-law (biggest LSU fans you'll ever meet) and my nephew (just as big a fan) talkin throughout the game and about our chances. This is 2003 all over again for me. Same feel. Same craziness of waiting for teams to do this, that and the other. All we're missing is a game to end at 1 in the morning like it did in 2003.
Here is what we're down to: LSU is essentially guaranteed a BCS berth if A) Florida loses to either FSU or Arkansas AND B) USC loses to Notre Dame or UCLA Other most likely scenario (but it won't be guaranteed, we'll have to be selected) A) Florida wins SEC CG vs Arkansas (FSU game won't matter in this scenario) Worst case scenario A) Florida beats FSU, loses to Arkansas AND B) USC wins out Then we're fighting it out vs. Florida for the at-large Will the Rose Bowl pick LSU or a Florida team that just lost their last game? You know who I think they will pick. LSU baby. I think we're in.
Hawaii does play at 10:00 tonight - you could just watch that and assume that if they win then all the stars are aligned
Yeah at the surface thats what it looks like. But the dreaded scenario of Florida winning today and then losing to Arkansas leaves Bowls to choose between either LSU or Florida, but not both. Only 2 teams from a single conference can go to a BCS bowl game. That's the problem. So if the Rose selects Florida, we're done for. Boise State outcome would be irrelevant because of that rule.
