    1. Ohio State
    2. Michigan
    3. LSU
    4. Louisville
    5. Wisconsin
    6. USC
    7. Arkansas
    8. Florida
    9. Boise State
    10. Notre Dame
    11. Auburn

LSU automatically goes. Notre Dame would get picked even with the loss, and Boise State if they win.

This is the best outcome we could hope for. It's not far fetched to happen either. USC with a letdown game after a big win over Notre Dame. I can buy that. Will it happen, more than likely not.

Would Florida really be more attractive than LSU if Florida is coming off a loss?

This system is rigged and flawed, you can't count on a similar loss producing a similar result. Look at how far USC, Michigan, ND fell after they lost.

What are the chances of an LSU-USC Rose Bowl?

    That's my argument.

The Rose Bowl will be sitting there with a choice of LSU and Florida potentially.

I really think Arkansas will blast them off the field.

You think the Rose Bowl will select a team that just lost over a team that almost everyone is claiming has the most talented team in the nation?

    Doesn't take a rocket scientist.

LSU vs. SOMEBODY in the Rose Bowl dammit.

I think Florida goes over LSU...ABC wants the most viewers (florida), Rose bowl wants the most tickets sold (push), and RB also wants the highest profile team (CUM has been elevated to god status by media last 2 yrs). Losses will not factor into it imo unless they get blown out.

    Games are still going on.

California is still lurking at #19. They already got bumps from BC and Texas. Tennessee luckily held on and should surpass them in the BCS. Virginia Tech won. That means Cal is situated at #18 in the BCS right now. They will pass the WVU/Rutgers loser next weekend (that puts them at #17). They need help from 3 more teams from a list of Oklahoma, Louisville, Boise State, Georgia Tech, possibly even Arkansas should they lose.

It may get pretty dicey and I would not be the least bit surprised if the Rose Bowl goes with the traditional Big 10 vs Pac 10 matchup, selecting Cal over LSU. Of course USC losing one of its last 2 games takes care of that scenario (USC would be the Pac 10 representative).

For some reason, I think the Rose Bowl MUST pick a Big 10 and Pac 10 team if they qualify under the BCS rules.

Well I just read the rules, and that is only in the event they win their conference, which Cal didn't. So it would be up to the Rose Bowl to make the selection of Cal as their at-large. Can you imagine that fiasco?

I think a #5/#6 ranked LSU team that just beat a top 10 team would go over a #8 FL team that just lost to a non top 10 team. We have been getting alot of press and respect this year. We are already being billed as "what if the call at auburn stands then they might be in the title game" team. I think the story would be great, we've had ALOT of big games on TV this year and everybody has seen us playing and playing well even in our losses.

my thought are that I want USC to win out because of the implication on who we might have to play in teh rose bowl.

    a) it makes me very angry as a CFB fan that michigan could get 2 shots at the title vs an in conference team. terrible terrible for CFB.

    b) what do we have to gain by playing a USC team that just lost their 2nd game and is lower ranked than us. Aside from finally getting to play those bunch of posers even a victory doesnt gain us much.

    c) id much much rather usc go play for the title and us get a crack at michigan. michigan and alot of poeple in the country feel that michigan is clearly the #2 team in the country of which no other team can hang with them and ohio st. I would love to come into the rose bowl and show the nation what the SEC is all about. Then we have someting to play for because a win vs michigan would be huge in my opinion.

What are you basing most viewers on? The mere fact that more people want to see Florida play vs LSU? I would have bought that argument back in the Spurrier days, but not now. Slight advantage LSU.

Especially if USC loses and goes to the Rose, what story line would there be with USC vs. Florida? Absolutely none. You can't even tell me the last time they played each other.

LSU vs. USC, the Rose is creaming in their pants. There's your real story.
