Of course this isn't true, but he did run out 3-4 guys yesterday in critical spots that had no business pitching in an NCAA Regional.

    Why Bourgeois over Alsup?

    Why LaSuzzo at all...? Ever?

Why Ross was hung to dry in the 7th when no one was warming up at all?

He was trying to save bullets and align the ship for UCLA, but man, he cut it close.

Granted, he ultimately won the game subbing Dean, too, so it goes both ways, but I think the way the pitching staff was handled was a C-.

Come back after you've won a thousand college b aseball games and a national championship. This is ridiculous. Manieri does things for a reason. He's not sleeping in the dugout like Laval. Plus, TC, we won the freakin' game so it worked.

More crying about another one of our championship winning coaches.

There are only like 110 other DI universities out there who wish they had the "terrible" coaches that we have.

so we cant have discussion now on what we saw that worried us, or what we would have done differently if we were the coach?

i dont see anyone say getting rude about their thoughts/criticism, or saying the coach sucks, or crying about it. i agree with some of the things said and disagree with some of the things said. but im not gonna get my panties wadded about anyone saying any of it. as long as it is well thought out posts of exactly what they would have done differently and not "stupid coach" or "fire cpm" as we often see in the miles threads, its called discussion. its a critique of the game even tho i feel certain everyone is happy we won.

So do I, but it doesn't help that he has a C- pitching staff this year.

It's easy to say that CPM miss handled pitching after the fact. I'm sure he was trying to save Alsup in case they needed him to start. If Bourgeois would have come in and played lights out then everyone would be saying it was a great call. The only way these young pitchers are going to take it to the next level is by giving them a chance to step up.
