    Saban is OUR defense

Muschamp is staying around to make a name for himself....which is smart

although EVEN smarter was Saban's move to hire him...a young guy with lots of potential...he knows to let Saban do his thing, and let him just ride the waves and build up his resume for future coaching jobs....Will is so young Saban knew he'd stay for awhile

dude you need to chill out. Losing our DB coach isn't the end of the world. Nick Saban IS the DB coach and anyone who tells you different is lying or don't know what they are talking about. Plus I feel confident that they are plenty of young good coaches/recruiters who would love to work at a School that just won a National Championship

Hell, I could be the DB coach and we'd still be #1. Saban has his finger on the situation.

The pay would be great if a young coach brought a winning defensive system over to Miami ... one he copied in detail

We'll know soon enough when Miami shifts to a Saban style defense ...

imitation = art = sincerest form of flattery.

I believe he played at Ohio State when Larry Coker was an assistant coach there. So that probably has a lot to do with it.

Anyone can try to copy a system...but I doubt he is able to coach the guys like Saban is. I could try to copy Jim Boheim's zone defense that won Syracuse the national title last year, but I can guarantee my defense would not be nearly as successful. Nick has been doing his thing for years and Coach Walton is in no way a master of a Saban scheme after being here for less than 12 months.

Like Skip says, if a coach doesn't want to be here, we don't want him. Let him go and good luck to him!
