Looks like Fisher and Barrington Edwards will be reunited.

I've been hearing Crowton will be QBs coach. Miles will function as OC.

Yes. Nebraska beat them like a red headed step child. Didn't Tommie Frazier & Co. throw up 64 points on them that year?

If this turns out to be the case that Crowton is hired as OC, I think that that says something about how Miles will be as a head coach. Bringing in an experienced guy like Crowton to head the offense is a move that signals that Miles will stay above the fray and not get hands on in his "pet project area" like Saban did.

Of course maybe he wants to get MORE hands on and help the O-line coach and tight ends coach instead of worrying about the overall philosophy of the unit. Who knows. Saban spent a lot of time with the DBs and on the overall philosophy of the D. That is why he hired so many young coaches. Saban kept control. With a Crowton hire, it is pretty clear that Miles would be turning over the reins of the O to someone else.

Interesting to see how this turns out. Looks like a good move to me. I always worried about Saban bringing in so many young coachs (even though it worked out). The more minds looking at a problem can sometimes help (it looked like Jimbo needed some help sometimes). Then again, Dinardo ran things pretty hands off...

He was hired as Fla. DC after that. That game is what got Stoops hired at Fla.
