Hopefully we will not have to punt much this year. Crowton will hopefully score on 80% of LSU possessions. The defense will do a bit of scoring too. I do not like the punt formation, but it sets up the fake punt nicely. It sure worked against Tenn last year.
Yep. :thumb: Isn't if funny how that is seldom mentioned yet we hear of punt blocking fears, though none were blocked.
WOW, just did a quick search to see his resume and this guy's been places...pretty dang impressive track record. http://www.lsusports.net/ViewArticl...64&DB_OEM_ID=5200&ATCLID=175219&Q_SEASON=2005
I read HERE that VT expects to block a lot of kicks this year. I guess we'll see.... ___________________ lsutigerbait.blogspot.com
Is "Punt Ugly" Ugly Again? And wazzup with the kickoffs? After getting one partially blocked and barely getting two or three other punts off, is Punt Ugly about to get ugly? I honestly have never liked it, but that's just aesthetics since I'm not on the field or a coach. But you can't deny that SC was close a couple of times to some full-up blocks. Florida is fast. I'm a bit scairt of Punt Ugly. And the kickoff game was not really great, either. I think that field goal flip has taken all of the special teams press for LSU this week, but the rest of it wasn't great. :geauxtige
Re: Is "Punt Ugly" Ugly Again? And wazzup with the kickoffs? Colt David was named Special Teams player of the week. I wasn't going to post it cause our members don't like "Individual" awards, like the Heisman and stuff. I'd be more concerned with punt returns than a partially blocked punt, sheesh.
