Saw something similar at the softball game last weekend. 4 guys, painted purple, come running up to the reserved seats section after game had started and were stopped by security. Interestingly, one of 'em asked, "Where do you want us"? I thought they may have been hired to come painted since it was on ESPN.......two ended up on one end of the stadium and the other two on the opposite end. If they want to sit in "Reserved seating" they should know to get there early.
Yea I don't mind if the kids dress up I think it's a cool way to express yourself but at the same token I don't give them anymore props than somebody who for instance might just go to every single away game and wear the same t-shirt for example. I took alot of pride these past couple years as a student of going to as many away games as I possibly could and after a while you would start to see the same kids in the student section. It feels so awesome going on road games and as fun and unique as tiger stadium is and playing in our atmosphere, it's definately a totally different and equally rewarding experience "stealing" a big road win from another big SEC team and makes the long drive worth every minute. The jeers you would receive from the away fans and the interaction with every play were just part of an incredible experience for life on the road in the SEC. If you enjoy road trips and football then you will definately become a sucker for away games. My favorite LSU memorobilia collectors item will always be my framed 2003 lsu tickets from all of the 14 games of that championship year. I debated wether I should find some replacements for the ones that were particularly bent and out of shape but I decided to go ahead and use all the actual tickets I had used to get in to the game. it really represented something that was very special and it had a process and "journey" feel too it. I highly recommend any incoming freshman who are considering going to some away games to make it a priority at least once during your time at school. It will probably be something you will want to do again if you have any kind of experience like I did.
