I see that TexasTigers BUT the one area that I don't get is that the links did not work down below, but the top ones did. If it was a simple template switchup, there should have been an error message or a real redirect to the right page.
No my point was that they use a template site that they all look the same. This will get way to nerdy so never mind ;-) My point is dont give Alabama credit, they have gotten enough the last 24 hours !!!
I'm not buying that it was a mistake. If it was, the links would have worked. In case you didn't notice, the bama stuff was all one image, whereas the normal site has many images, not just one with mapped links.
As a former web developer myself that even more enforces my theory... Normally you build a gif of your page and lay it out so you can size it, graphics, etc So my theory is all this was built as an image prior to the BCS game show and him/her were using the wrong server to test (IE production vs. Test). I could be wrong but I highly doubt anyone at Bama had A the capacity to do this, r B the company who does this would risk their entire business by allowing a loop hole where a rival fan could hack another fans site. Imagine the back lash and the clients you would lose ? No... I highly doubt this was a hack. If it was a nerd he would have put up Anti LSU stuff or Pro Bama stuff, not links to buying t-shirts on the exact same companies servers. Normally hacks involve links to virus's or porn or other shopping sites. But why hack a website to send you to links to the same company selling the same stuff ? Just doesnt add up.
I could see it easily being some employee of the company wanting to be a douchecanoe. The fact it was Bama on the LSU site says it wasn't an accident.
