WOW! https://sports.yahoo.com/lynn-swann-resigns-as-usc-athletic-director-200114474.html Lynn Swann’s time as USC’s athletic director has come to an end. USC president Carol Folt announced Monday that Swann has resigned from his position and that Dave Roberts, a special advisor for Folt, will be the school’s interim AD until a new hire is made. Swann’s resignation is effective immediately.
Roberts is a bit more than a special advisor. He's been out here since 2010 heading up compliance and currently, he's also the NCAA’s vice chair of the committee on infractions. Resigned? Hilarious. His lazy, do-thing-but-golf-and-sign-autographs ass got fired. Saying resignation is just playing nice out of courtesy, otherwise they'd have let him stay around for the football season and say all his farewells. Plus, Folt already had a committee in place to find a replacement so clearly, this has been in the works. After the win on Saturday, the timing is suspicious. It wouldn't surprise me at this point, if something else came out tying him to the admissions scandal. Good riddance and a slap to USC for hiring him in the first place as he had ZERO experience in that capacity.
