LSU 27 UGA 24 I live in ATL and people around here feel the same way about their Dawgs as people on TF feel about LSU. Both pretty low in statistics, but LSU edges them in close one.
LSU 38 UGA 35 difference is a josh jasper field goal. Shep finally gets in the endzone, and also throws for a touchdown. Brandon Lafell catches 2, Dickson has 1, and we score one on defense. UGA gets it close but a heady Jordan Jefferson is able to run the clock out to seal the victory. If Shep doesn't throw one, he will against UF.
Georgia 33, LSU 20. Defense actually plays well enough, but the offense makes countless mistakes and Miles sticks to his Big 10 style running game causing too many 3rd and longs for the young Jordan Jefferson to overcome with a couple of critical turnovers forthcoming. Shepard sees little action and is a non factor unfortunately.
Tigers - 34 Bulldogs - 27 I believe we get to see a little more Shep this week....he's the only running game we got.
UGA fan here. I feel extremely conflicted on this game, and have felt that the LSU game will be our measuring stick for the season. Up to this point, we've played 4 BCS teams who each geared their entire offseason for Georgia. How we've gone 3-1 with a -9 TO margin is beyond me. As far as Georgia and LSU go, here are the things I'm considering: -UGA is 3-0 at night, 0-1 during the day. -UGA has handled LSU the last 3 times we've played. -AJ Green is the best WR in the nation. -Peterson is the best CB we'll see all year. -From what I've seen of LSU this year, it really looks like y'all are missing Herman Johnson. I am optimistic that Georgia can hold Scott and Co. in check. -I am not optimistic about our pass D vs. LaFell, Randle, etc. -Our special teams are outstanding. If - and right now this is a big if - Georgia holds on to the ball, then I think the Dawgs win fairly comfortably. Seeing as how we've yet to do that though, this is a serious toss-up. Neither team has truly hit their stride yet, and if either one does on Saturday then this could be a blowout (or a bleauxout) either way. Tenuous pick: UGA 31 - LSU 27
