What's wrong with our defense? We are ranked 4th in the nation in total defense.....I would say that qualifies as at least kinda scary....
CB/ Line play has clearly dropped off. Nobody should really be scared by our defense based on what it has shown thus far.
I'm really starting to get sick of seeing these old threads drug up for no other purpose than to point out someone's wrong prediction. People are going to be optimistic. That's going to lead to some reasonable, and sometimes unreasonable predictions. I don't think you would have found too many people who would have thought our defense was not going to be good going into the season. Why didn't you call them out on these predictions at that time? Probably because you thought the defense was going to be good as well. It's so easy to sound smart when you dig up 10 month old threads.
I don't care if you're getting sick of seeing it. I saw it on a related threads section at the bottom of the screen and just wanted to poke a little fun. Of course people like you are going to rant and post a diatribe for no good reason. You're right. I thought we would have a better defense than last year and I thought we would have more stability at the quarterback and offensive line positions. The "Ouch" is on me as well.
Fair enough... My rant I guess was more directed at a certain other poster who has made a habit of it ever since joining the board about a month ago. I don't mind having threads brought up for joking reflection. It's quite another thing to do it to humiliate another poster. I don't think yours was an attempt to humiliate a poster, but for some reason it just set me off. Sorry for the rant.
6-2 today, probably 9-2 with a new years day bowl. #4 defense in the nation and we are bitching. Times are good in Tigerland.
