They were all from people at practices, and the coaches said so as well.

I could care less what happens elsewhere, I'm talking about here at LSU. Some teams fumble the football more than we do should we try to mirror those numbers too?

The only play that stands out in my mind from Flynn this season is the pick 6. How has he earned more playing time?

You're joking right? I think JR threw an int this season maybe he should be benched. Flynn has proven many times in games that he is a quality QB even though he gets very sporatic playing time yet you pick out one bad play. The guy has never complained and has done everything asked of him year after year, showed he has the ability given the chance and should IMO be given some playing time.

Yeah I agree it can't be easy coming into games that are blowouts and trying to get a rhythm. So to make judgments that a backup couldn't succeed or would greatly succeed based on 6-8 passes in a mopup role is just not sound.

    No

So if he was a complainer you would say he deserves no playing time. I'm not saying he isn't a good QB, but to say that you should bench the starting QB just to make the backup happy is not very smart. In what situation this season would you have pulled Russell to give Flynn PT?

Exactly why I think he doesn't need more PT. Never said he would or woudn't be great. I said that was the one play that stood out to me this season. I haven't seen anything that would make me believe giving Flynn more playing time would help us. It would only help us for next year if he is still here.

Flynn was benched because it was a pick 6, and if he threw another one Miss. St. would be within two scores in the middle of the third quarter. How can you say Flynn has proven himself MANY times in games? He has one good game in which the running game was near perfect, and has played well in 4th quarter mop up duty after the game has been decided. Now, I like Flynn but I don't think he deserves playing time over JR simply because he performed well one game and in mop up duty. If JR leaves, he deserves the starting spot.

What profession do you work in? Ever heard of benchmarking?

What is wrong with the amount of time that Flynn has gotten? In the blowouts, he comes in early in the 3rd quarter when we have the game locked up (up by 30 or so).

When else is he supposed to play?

I'd like to see either him or RP come in sometime in the first half and give the defense a different look for a series or two. JR is not a running QB yet look what has happened the last 2 games when he tucks the ball and heads up field, big yardage. Plus it makes the defense have to cover another player instead of being 11 against 10. I don't want to see LSU drastically change the offense or anything just give the opposition something else to prepare for and something else they have to prove they can stop during a game.
