what'd i say?? i blacked out there for a moment. :hihi: even if all the stories about him talking to michigan are true, he's not there now. i like miles but i'm not naive. his dream job and his dream game popped up at the same time and he chose the "dream game" over the "dream job". that's the way i see it, i think anything less than the nc game this year and miles may have been packing his bags for ann arbor. but that's not how it happened b/c life has a funny way of timing things. he chose to stay with his damn strong team and try to win the :crystal: . there's no shame in that and there's no shame in wanting to go home either. but these guys have a problem with miles calling them out (on the day of the sec cg what was he supposed to do? let specualtion linger and lose a shot at the sec title?) so they tried to make him the bad guy and by not becoming the bad guy he made them (the press) look even worse. i'm ok with everyone thinking he's stupid. in poker, the underestimated opponent more than not is the one going home with everyone's money. miles' record has shown that the same can be said for football.
More web hits, more subscriptions, it's all the same thing. Sports journalism has deteriorated to the point that most of these "analysts" and reporters engage in as much smack talk as the players they make fun of for talking smack. Saying nice things about people just doesn't sell as well as slamming them. Not likely to change in the near future...
Most media talking heads are like a bunch of church women who have nothing to do but gossip and make up stories about the preachers wife. When confronted they all run and hide, then deny, deny, deny.
so there you have it....once again "journalist" zemek doesn't report the news, he tells you that by simply telling the truth CLM created a bob woodward/deep throat opportunity for the award winning cfn staff.....what a maroon :nope:
Funny how there is no email link to the author of this article. I use to read CFN pretty frequently....probably wont find myself on that site anymore. Simply an amazing piece of garbage!!!! Anybody else have any ideas on good college football sites....besides this one of course :thumb:
