Wendell Davis made Hodson a lot better than he was. Hodson’s Sr year not too great. Davey just chunked it. I loved watching that ball come from right behind his head but not a pure passer.

Hodson only had Davis for 2 seasons. His junior year, when his top targets were Tony Moss and Alvin Lee, was also very good. His senior year, behind a very young o-line, was bad, but it wasn't because Davis "made" him.
Isn't OU glad they took a former walk-on that won the Heisman and came very close to playing for a NC while Texas Tech refused to give him a ship ....I can't believe the importance people put on recruiting rankings given the fact that so many are obviously busts.
