Perhaps you need to wiki the definition of a fact.

I rank the positions (QB, RB, WR, etc.) from 4 to 10 points with 10 points being the highest. I then add up all of the positions, factor in coaching and special teams, and derive my Power Ratings for each team.

I grade every position for each team (QB, RB, WR, OL, DL, LB, DB) on their scale of improvement from one year to the next. The scale ranges from +6 points to -6 points for each position. I take the total team number and factor it into last year's 3 final sets of Power Ratings. This gives me 3 very different ways of gauging the strength of the teams.

These are about as far from facts as you can get. It's strictly opinion and are the basis for his rankings. Show me his facts...I mean rocks.

I want to point out (again) that the missed kicks in the Oregon State game were match by two TD's by LSU that were negated by penalties. Only since we are making excuses for arguements sake.

Jackson also missed two FG's in the game, but they don't count because it was only the first half.

Arky was suspect because McFadden was their whole team. He was the QB, RB, and WR at times. He was rushed into that game after breaking his big toe a month or so before the opener. No one thought Arky had a chance without McFadden being 100%. The rest of the year following the loss shows this to be true. No QB what so ever and a mediocre D. Arky was deflated early in that game and it seriously got out of hand. Not trying to take anything away from USC but Arky at the start of the season was way diffferent towards the end.

On the Oregon St. game. LSU has a history of starting off slow out of the gate and the weather didnt help either. Trust me I am always going to be worried during the 1st 2 or 3 games of the season given our history. Miss St. scares me a little as well and even more than Oregon St. with their above average D.

I would like to point out that LSU started slow out of the gate under Saban. Last year, we came out gangbusters with Miles. I can't comment on '05 with Miles (when we struggled against ASU) because of Katrina trumping off-season conditioning/practicing.
