This guy flew under the radar for a few years now. I hear he is a get in your face kind of coach. And that’s what Les needs. Les is a nice guy and he leaves the chewing out to the assistants. My inside source at LSU tells me that LSU gave him a nice deal. Something tells me that he will shine as a DL coach and use LSU like a springboard for a D. Cord position somewhere else in two years. In this day and age you got to use em while you got em. He is a nice p/u for CLM but don’t fall in love w/him b/c he could be gone in a few.

Well...if Pellini has another season or two with posting a top 10 defense, he'll likely be interviewing for head coaching jobs. So Lane may not have to "springboard" too far for a potential D-coordinator job.

This guy stayed 10 years at USF, several years without getting paid for it. He's not going to jump for another job, he's a lifelong assistant. His son just started at ULL...he's here for at least 4 years, and probably the rest of his career if we'll have him.

This is true for all assistant coaches.
