It's just a heck of a lot better to focus on how great this accomplishment is for App St. And to simply enjoy how hilarious it is that the mioghty wolverines have fallen at home to them. :hihi:
I remember Courville bashing Michigan saying there was no passion there. Funny how true it seems now. They are always talented (though probably not as much as we all thought) but never fail to let you down. I still hate them for losing to USC in the Rose Bowl and giving USC the opportunity to say they split in 03.
I don't think so. He was just praising App. State saying that it was no fluke and that they're going to continue being a great team.
Think about it.... Michigan scores 26-31... KICKS XP 27-31 Scores AGAIN 33-31... KICKS XP 34-31 App State FG for OVERTIME 34-34 (they would have tried to score from the 5 yard line instead of kicking on 1st down of course) Hindsight is awesome
Biggest upset in college football history. What a great game. Give credit to App St. They went in there as serious underdogs and were absolutely determined to win, not just to get a payday. I think it is safe to say that Michigan seriously overlooked this team. This loss definitely puts a lot more heat on Lloyd Carr, but there is still an entire season to play. If Lloyd ends up tapping out, then yes, I'll bet Les Miles will get a call. But I also think he will respectfully decline. He's got way too much of a good thing going on at LSU. Meanwhile, Michigan pretty much loses everyone after this season. I will go on record right now and say that if Carr is out after the season, Miles will still be the head coach at LSU next season.
