Martin is a better player now but Mickey's ceiling has to be higher.

Martin with an improved jumper is a vastly higher ceiling than Mickey with an improved jumper.

D&3's are tough to find. Stretch 4's not so much due to tall Euro players. And Martin's closer to the ideal D&3 than Mickey is to an ideal stretch four...

Former LSU forward Jordan Mickey left school early this spring and was scooped up by the Boston Celtics in the second round of the NBA Draft earlier this summer.

And through his first four NBA summer league games, Mickey hasn't disappointed.

Mickey has become the only Celtics player to start every summer league game thus far, with three games played in Salt Lake City and one in Las Vegas.

He's averaged 11 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.3 blocked shots through four games, and he's gone 18-for-33 (54.5%) from the field in that stretch.

In four summer league games (three in Salt Lake City and one in Las Vegas), Mickey has averaged 11 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.3 blocked shots while shooting 54.5 percent (18-for-33) from the field.

Here's some video highlights of Mickey in action.

Wish Mickey nothing but the best. The future for LSU basketball is bright, and it's always great to see guys underrated and not expected to have impacts or long careers do so while others touted so highly didn't live up to it. Big Baby and Bass vs Tyrus and Stromile.

(Stro had a long career, and Tyrus did fine, but both are easily busts. Brandon, Glen, and Thornton were not expected to make impacts, but they each have.)

Tyrus didn't play in the NBA very long but he made a lot of money. He was I think the third player drafted in that year's draft and it was before the collective bargaining agreement limiting rookie salaries. Pretty sure he signed with the Bulls for $10 Million a year. Even in the NBA he made some pretty spectacular plays, just not enough of them

The problem is 1. No one is getting to these guys and being honest about their draft stock. If I'm an agent and I know a guy can be taken 20 slots higher next year then I push for him to stay
