Mike Stoops Interviewing with Miles Tonight?

Interesting candidate that was not on any of the projections that I have read.

Being discussed in t h e DC thread. Bad hire IMO.

 

Terrible hire imo if you want a stout LSU D, but a great hire for those who want Miles out of BR.

 

I don't really pay much attention to the Stoops family. What makes him a bad hire? The bio on the OU site doesn't look too shabby although I realize the source and there are always little pieces of information that get left out. Seems like there are a few stronger names out there like Pendegrast and Steele. I know Pendegrast has been getting press as the most likely replacement. His background looks pretty damn solid.

So who is the best candidate?

 

He's sticking it to himself if he makes this hire imo.

 

Stoops is loads better than Steele and Stoops is a good DC.

Not sure why people can't look past their last game. The same metrics applied to Chavis and well, guess he sucks too!

 

I'd rather the former USC DC. Ou all too often comes up small. I also can't see him leaving his brother for a lateral job.

 

Does Les know something we don't? I would not want this guy after watching their bowl game.
