TexasTigers, how do you get a .bmp file into a format that can be uploaded to the forum and not have to be downloaded by the viewer. I don't want to put the art connoseurs (sp) through the anguish of having to wait until a file is downloaded before seeing it.

I converted it a .jpg using Adobe PaintShop. Or Save it as a .jpg...

I upload it to some webserver though (I do webdesign for a living) then make a reference to it by putting
Make the character in front of the img a [, I had to change it or it thought I was trying to post a picture link.

    ({img]http://www.yourwebsite.com/yourpicture.jpg[/img])

I am sure you already know how to do that, but you have to upload it to a website (or webspace)

Unless someone knows a different way to do it.

I don't have Paintshop. Is it a free program? I don't want to get to high tech. It might take away from the primitivism of my art. You can upload .jpg files directly to Tigerforums and I don't think Brett minds if the files don't take up too much space.

I do I project my thoughts, desires, emotions, fears and hopes onto the canvas, with each stroke an exorcism of thought and creativity...

For example this piece I call, Sunday Bloody Hiesman

    Enjoy (Lights please)

You dont need paintshop, you can save as a jpg by changing the save as in Paint. When you save your masterpiece.

    Do
    File
    Save As
(Where it has filename click the pull down has all the other formats you can save in, select Jpg)

j0nathanr0y your work as well is very worthy of a place right up there with Picasso, and Kenny G...

Your detail is also worth pointing out. Just amazing how the red attacks the views yet recoils in fear, just a taste... Then retreat. It teases you like a lifted skirt, or the faint perfume of a woman past.

I'm using Windows 2000 and the only available formats on my version of Paint's drop down menu are .bmp and .dib when I tried naming the file a .jpg myself it dosen't work.

Oh I have XP... DO you have Office or anything ? Office has a program called Photo Editor.. Any OTHER graphics program should be able to change it. Did one come with your computer ???
