1. I never was good at English, but are people who still live in the Saban era, or worse, think he's coming back........ are they dangling participles?
  2. The short answer to your question is no.
  3. just my .02 but I still think LSU is as good as anybody in the SEC. I thought they would lose to Au and UF ONLY because they were on the road. If those games were at home chalk up another W. They weren't so we can't but beating UT is possible. Since Bama isn't going anywhere I'm pulling for you guys to win out.
  4. Couldn't have said it better, Great Post.:thumb: :geauxtige
  5. Thanks for the encouragement but I am worried you are trying to soften us up for the LSU/BAMA game this year:wink: I am sure you hope we lose at least one.:thumb:
  6. Under the "circumstances," a one-loss regular season is acceptable? I would think under ANY circumstances, it would be acceptable.

And I'm tired of the Saban lovefest. He did a good job, but he had easily as many lapses through any season and a half as Miles has. Could it just be possible that BOTH of them could be good coaches for us?
  7. Miles has yet to accomplish what Saban has. That isn't a slight on Miles, it is just the truth. Saban had down years, but despite that he built relative consistency and confidence in the fan base.
  8. In 02 how confident were you in Saban after VT dimantled the tigers on tv? How about after the Auburn, Bama AND UAB losses? After it took a 'bluegrass miracle' to beat Kentucky?

Don't forget, just because the grass looks greener on the other side, it doesn't always work out that way...

We just need to take a breath and put this game in perspective, too many mistakes were made and couldn't be overcome. Yet the team never laid down.
  9. Maybe you'd like it better if I rephrased it. Under the circumstances, blowing a 21 - 0 lead (24-7 4th quarter lead) to UT is acceptable to me. And I also meant under the "circumstances", last year was not a year to judge Miles on, one loss or four or five So, hope it makes you feel better...nevermind, I really don't care. If you're so damned quick to jump on any comment and turn it into a negative about Miles, I couldn't care less what you think.:)
  10. And what was Saban's record with his own talent in his last year at LSU???????Oh yes I think that would be 8-4...I loved Saban he was a great coach and a classy guy but he was not perfect....and I do have some doubts about Miles, especially after hearing Jordy's halftime report that the team was confident and animated at halftime and the coaches were saying just eliminate the mistakes and our talent will take over....that is not the intense atmosphere that a huge game in FLORIDA requires.
