...or Bill Curry, who left Alabama for Kentucky following a 10-win season..... and that was back in the day when there wasn't a 12th game :nope:

...common theme being leaving Alabama. Interesting.

I'm not sure how much, if any, influence McCartney has with the new regime at CU, particularly the new AD.

The article referenced in the Post is just that, one writers opinion. Last night after the press conferences I heard another reporter who covers the CU beat offer Pat Hill (Fresno St), Dan Hawkins (Boise St), and former USC OC Norm Chow as potential candidates.

We'll just have to wait and see how it plays out.

Word on the street is that the CU AD had Barnett's replacement lined up before they released Barnett. The good news for you is I don't think you will be experiencing many sleepless nights before the announcement is made.

I truly believe, bash me if you will, that Les is not a good fit for LSU....Period. I also believe that in his gut he knows this as well, and will at some point bolt. I dont think he should be fired, and I am not overly excited about any currently available coaches. He will stay because of the talent/potential and status of the job, but he would make a latteral job for a better fit and that would be the best thing for everyone.

AGAIN, JUST MY OPINION....NOT SAYING IT'S RIGHT!

I am sure the coaches listed as possible candidates are excited to see a High School coach listed in the same breath!!!

No top coach will take an interview unless he's already been offered the job. Look what happened to Petrino after he blew his interview at LSU.

My cousin's niece's dad's housekeeper's dog groomer said this morning that she heard when Miles takes the CU job, LSU would hire Butch Davis. Done deal.

I've heard this sentiment before, and am just curious what you mean by "fit?" In terms of coaching style? Playcalling? Personally?

He does not seem comfortable here at all. His style is different, not saying it is wrong (though I think it is) Again, I have no proof..just a feeling that he should be in the big 10, not the SEC. The culture is too different, expectations too high. I dont hear the passion in his voice, when we played bad under Saban you could just hear it in his voice....it killed him, ate at him. Not this guy. I HOPE I AM WRONG.

That's why Saban said he would rather play good and lose than have an ugly win. I disagree.
