Miles also said the team had an 80-play scrimmage Thursday. I have been told that Richard Murphy and Keiland Williams looked very good in the scrimmage with redshirt freshmen, true freshmen and walk-ons getting most of the snaps. Miles said he likes the mindset of the team and that the team is looking forward to the month of November. He pointed out that LSU has won 11 straight games in November.

This was from Dandy Don yesterday.

Yeah, I guess VT and USC towards the "beginning" of the season aren't "key contests" either next year. I guess if we lose those two next year it won't matter as long as we win all games in Nov. I hope Miles' really doesn't believe this theory. And I don't buy it that he's using this theory to motivate the team. They shouldn't need to be motivated this late in the year, especially since we end up the year with 2 ranked opponents and the other 2 being big rivalries. I just don't think Miles is an SEC calibur coach, I hope im wrong though. Time will tell, but he won't have much time left if he continues with his "key contests" theory.

I agree with Gradin99, you can't win championships unless you close out the season. As you play out the season, the games get harder and harder and i think that's true. We're still in contention for the SEC West title, but barely, so winning would put us in the best position possible.

Some very intelligent coach said the most important game is the next one.
You can dream, what if, but the season is about over. We are playing for ranking next year. If we don't win the rest we have little chance of being ranked high preseason. Without a high preseason ranking our chances of playing for the championship is diminished.

    Good take.

Why should Miles dwell on Auburn and Florida??? Those two games are long over and there's no sense in getting the team thinking back on games that you can't do anything about now.

he's just uplaying the importance of Nov.. What used to kill me was how TV announcers would praise UT for all their Nov success over the years. Let's see who do they play every Nov.? Vandy, UK, and the like...............hhmmmm......tough wins there. Not!
