Read the other thread on bashing Les Miles and you'll quickly see why tiger fans bash the coach and not the team. The team itself is a very good one with great players and a whole lot of talent brought in by former Coach Nick Saban. This team did indeed win today and put on a good showing in the second half. However, those who actually watch college football and enjoy discussing the many different factors of the game can pretty much see how LSU not only squandered many opportunities but is still very poorily coached in many different areas. For this team to get better, the coaching staff needs to step it up and do what they do best. This is not only the fault of Coach Miles, but both Offensive coordinator Jimbo Fisher and Defensive Coordinator Bo. However, LSU came out with a difficult hard earned win and we all wish them the best of luck. I for one will be at the SECCG screaming my lungs out till i cannot talk any longer
I believe the word on ESPN today was that if we win out through the SEC CG that we will have beaten more Top 25 teams that Texas and USC COMBINED... I'm still not convinced that we could take either of those two out on the field though...
Either Miles or Jimbo is killing the offense... The only time they play well is when they are playing from behind and they have to open up the offense... They need to do that the whole time. An I still say this team is underachieving. They should be winning these games more convincingly. Underachievement by an individual is usually on that person, Underachievement by a whole team is on the coaches.
i just don't see any problem with miles coaching. if anyone wants to place blame it should be pointed more towards jimbo. this is still jimbo's offense regardless if miles is an offensive coach. the play calling has been the same for the past few years, the problem with this year and last year is that we are not able to run as affective and the 2003 season. if you look back to the 2003 florida game the play calling is so much like this year, we rely on the big plays to make up for the running game. if our offense had more balance the play calling wouldn't look so conservative.
LSU fans do it every year, every tough game... we slam our coaches and players and then they redeem themselves... not like we really mean it. Kinda like telling your dog when he does something bad "im gonna kill you"... you dont really mean it :hihi:
Looking past those 2 already? Granted you guys prolly are a shoe in but there is only 1 good thing about each of those 2 teams that could cause problems for you guys.... Ole Miss: Defense. They are pretty good on D but lack depth. You guys should wear them down similar to the way AU did. Arkansas: McFadden...You guys aren't all that good agaist the run. He's awesome and they have a MUCH better line than we do. Their O line could cause him to run wild. Hopefully. Reauxll Tide!!!
