I wouldnt say Flynn was exactly given a fair shot . He came in when we were backed up and came in as a result of an injury cold with no prep time. I accept the fact that Miles has chosen Russell as his guy and that is that. I respect it and he is loyal to his guy. But i would not say that Flynn has been given a starting role chance since the bowl game last year. In Miles eyes Russell is 1 and Flynn is 2 . Its his decision to make and no matter how we feel Coach Miles gets paid to live with and make those decisions. JR is a good QB and LSU is lucky to have him. But as i have stated before i think good is all Russell will ever be because of a few intangibles on his decision making. But i dont think all the int are JR fault and just look sometimes the ball hits the receiver and pops up in the air from the miss. And to make one observation i dont think Tenn was one of our defense most intense games. We held Tenn to 250 yards but i think that was more of a result of them not having as many plays or time as it was that our defense played very well. I think the d let down a little when the backup came in and didnt play with the same intensity. And i dont understand us not blitzing the kid more. We never tried to rattle him.
Thank you, great post. The reason JR is getting hugs from both coaches is because every ahole in Tigertown is on his a@#. Is he perfect, no. Did he win this one for us, yes. Thank you, JR.
Just try to imagine what Georgia is feeling right now before you allow yourself to bitch. That helps me a little.
I guess I'm the weird one but having worked with kids for the past 18 yrs. and having coached, I almost got choked up for a split second when he did that- to see the sincerity of his care for our players, and a coach can care without having to kiss his players but hats off to the ones who care enough to do that on National television. He also showed his firey side yesterday and Pellini jumped another coach's **** when they weren't on the same page so it's not like we are going to be perceived as "soft" when our team plays the game like some bad mo fos. :geauxtige
Who was it that Bo ripped? My shaky memory tells me that we burned a timeout because we had 12 men on the field on a special teams play.
I saw Bo rip someone, I thought it was the new d-line coach, but I could easily be wrong. I had looked at his picture at lsusports.net, and that is who I thought it was.
I don't know his name, he was African American and short stature. It was for the 12 men on the field.
