Good article, but this is factually incorrect. In his zeal to tie LSU & Bama together as seems to be the norm these days, Gary Laney should have looked more closely at Bama's record. In 2010, Mike Shula did finish 10-2, with losses to LSU & Auburn. However, ALL of those "Wins" were vacated by Bama via the NCAA, for rules violations. Alabama is officially 0-2 for the 2005 season. If LSU wins Friday, LSU & Les Miles will have reached 6 10 win seasons, alone.
Good article. And I tend to forget that this year's team lost Faulk, Williford, Hurst, Blue, TM7, Tahj Jones, Kwon Alexander (though he might play on Friday?) and Muncie, and is starting a first year QB. The chance to be 10-2 is fairly impressive. Even more impressive (or frustrating) to think that 11-1, the SECCG and a chance for the BCSCG were all in LSU's control had the 'bama game swung the Tigers' way. (But that's a topic for a different thread.)
