Just looking for positive things to say is my guess... I agree that's a bit of a stretch to make but I'll take two 3OT losses over being completely shut down any day.. He probably shoulda said it more like that I guess.. :milesmic:

Miles has never been known as an eloquent speaker and is in fact better known for his interview blunders. However I really don't care much about how good of a speaker he is while I really care how good of a coach he is. He can trip over his tongue non stop as long as he starts getting his teams to play up to their potential.

Now his scenario was over the top but LSU has only lost in overtime this year!

 

Sometimes people just hear what they want to hear.

 

Today on local sports radio here in Columbus, Ohio they were saying Les Miles was making some good points about the LSU OT losses. They did not sound like they were making it out to be a big deal. I feel he was just venting a bit when he was ask who was the best team in the nation. :geaux:

 

I think that's true most of the time, not just some of the time.

A common human failing.

But a good thing for people who sell things for a living.
