The three that signed was Ryan, Rj and Lafell. 3 great prospects. We also had Powe for a while. I think Les did a great job. Not only did he keep alot of what Nick established he also got a 5 star and 2 four stars. Powe was close and he was a 5 star. I wonder if Les was ever this successful at OK state does anybody know???? HOW BOUT THEM NEW TIGERS!

Didn't he get Holliday as well, even though he'll have to grey shirt?

This was a very, very impressive recruiting class by Miles. To be able to come in here in such short time and start off on such a great foot says good things about where this program is going to stay, on top!

I agree. From afar, it looks like Miles worked his tail off salvaging the recruiting class, assembling a coaching staff, and getting settled in BR. Great job Les :thumb:

Did he ever get a class like this at OSU, in a word, no. Not even close. OSU has a good class when they get a couple of 4 stars, a few 3 stars and a bunch of 2 stars. That's why a coach leaves a place like OSU to come to LSU. Well, one of the reasons and a big one at that.

Therein lies why I really think Miles is an excellent coach. He did NOT have classes like this at OSU, yet he kept them, for the most part, very competitive in the Big XII South. Granted, there are some players at OSU, like any other BCS team, that could start for other schools, but largely, they were seemingly out-manned week-in and week-out, but he got the most out of his players that was humanly positive--a good indication of the success he can have here.

Jury is still out on Miles and his recruiting prowess.

All indications are that Perrilloux was coming to LSU all along. Ryan claims he is directly responsible for bringing in RJ Jackson and Brandon LaFell.

What does that leave for Miles? Well pretty much nothing.

We won't know how good Miles will be in recruiting until next year unfortunately.

What indications are you referring to?

Uh, the fact that Ryan said in his press conference on signing day that he was responsible for bringing over RJ Jackson and LaFell and had also tried getting Rouse and Bennett to come over. Bennett was coming, but of course we all know about his family wanting to stay in-state and the basketball fiasco thing.

Maybe you didn't get to see it.
