but Flynn is awesome and he can read defenses better than Russell.. oh and don't forget the amazing touch he puts on the deep ball.. and he can scramble too!!! WOW!@#!@#@!
Everyone, let's not forget what Matt Mauck did in place of the far more talented and experienced, but injured, Davey. And we all know how that story turned out. The more I learn about the position, the more I'd rather a smart, technically sounds leader with minimal talent than someone who can throw it through a wall and minimal mental capabilities.
If you guys believe anthing Miles says about and injured player you have not been watching LSU football this year or have short memories. Who besides me was surprised that Addai was seriouly injured and would be handicapped the last few games? Miles indicated he would be ready for Arkansas. How much notice did anyone have that Daniels was injured prior to the SECC game. Miles believes that keeping secrets about injured players from the opposition gives us an edge. Yeah! They sure adjusted quickly when they noticed that Daniels was out. Georgia hit us with two bombs before Les Could find his wife in the stands.
What makes you think that Flynn is that QB with minimal talent? A technically sound leader? Jesus, you people are insane. Your just making this stuff up, its not based on any type of facts at all. Minimal mental capabilities? How do you know such a thing about JR? You don't. The fact is that JR beat Flynn out twice under two different head coaches. When the game is on the line, I would rather have the ball in JR's hands than any other person on the team. Flynn did real well checking off of those recievers in the Georgia game....
I was thinking about this as well, Miles wants Miami to prepare for both Quarterbacks. Saying that JR might play forces them to do this, even if JaMarcus probably won't play.
technically, he only beat him out once. Flynn missed virtually the entire spring in '04 with mild injuries and a stomach illness. by the time he was healthy enough to take a serious amount of reps, JR & MR were weeks ahead of him. That put him way behind the 8 ball.(but that's just nitpicking)
The only thing that makes sense is that everybody loves the backup quarterback, most popular man on campus. I just remember what an ole coach once told me....there's a good reason why he's the "backup" quarterback.
I wonder if Matt Flynn will catch the passes that he hits the recievers hands with because if he doesnt it makes no difference who the QB is.
