If this thread was early last year, you would be right.

Or, maybe (hopefully) you're being sarcastic.

That's a crappy excuse for recievers dropping the ball. If it is serious. If these guys get a free ride to a university because what they are good at is supposedly catching a football, then it doesn't matter how hard it is thrown. They should just catch the ball. Quite a few of the drops, however, have been on touch passes, not the bullets that JR throws.

If he had superior mental capabilities like some here suppose, then being out for Spring of 04 would have been no big deal. The reality is that Matt Flynn doesn't do anything better than JR and he doesn't deserve the job because he hasn't earned it. If he would have earned it, then I truly believe he would have been the starter. But he hasn't.

He isn't Matt Mauck and will never be. The only thing that the two have in common is that they are white, and can run the ball.

we have some weak excuses for our wr's. its pretty much all on them this year. ask brett favre's corps of receivers over the years how they feel wearing tape on all their fingers that are broken. its not like russell throws that way anyhow.

Most likely a ploy, to make Miami prepare for JaMarcus' arm and Flynn mobility... don't think JR plays

Try not putting words into my mouth and quit being so presumptuous and you might understand...maybe.

As for JRs mental capacity as a leader, I think his shortcomings have been well-documented this year. There are a few very simple, very key things that he simply refuses to do, and which, until corrected, will prevent him from living up to his potential (note that I never accused him of having minimal mental capabilities). Sure, he's a great comeback QB. But it sure would be nice if we were in that situation less.

how do you know? By saying he's a good QB who could probably start elsewhere, isn't saying JR is not good. It's not saying Flynn is better than him. Remember Mauck wasn't good enough to beat out Rohan, but when he got his chance he proved himself. So until Flynn has a chance to prove what he can do, no one one this board can really say how good he is. He may never amount to anything at LSU or he may bring us one of these :crystal: .
