tiga... you only managed to show one quote of mine where i "bagged" on an lsu player and that was lafell in which i also said "i hate blaming players but..." i did predict an au loss at that time which is why i said "at this point in time." you posted another quote lacking context in which rp was stripped. i didn't "bag" on him i just said what i did because probably people like you were "bagging" on flynn. finally the quote about dorsey was also out of context because at the end of the post i asked all you to reserve judgement. so nice try buddy, but taking quotes out of context when i'm still around to defend them isn't a very powerful debate strategy. anyone can go to those posts and read the context around them to see that i am in no way going back on my word on anything. typical to try and kill the messenger instead of the message though.
WOW! That's really going to hurt not having Odem. Who's going to fill in for him? Maybe Beckwith? I know, I know Odem doesn't play.. .
haha, i'm sure there's some club somewhere who'd like bouncers that whipped up on some lsu football players doing their security. i don't know why i'm replying so much to so many things on this issue because usually i don't care what people say or think, maybe it's because i'm close to the action (so to speak). anyway, those people that quit/got fired were gone the very next day and i was told that they left because of the fight. that's been kind of open information since saturday, but as of saturday i had only seen that on the internet and my friend at the varsity hadn't talked to me yet. hopefully i can pull myself away from this issue tonight, there is a football game on afterall. but i personally think the issue is done. i think the proof is in the police report (there's only one about the fight, only two about the entire incident). i think the proof is the news reports. and i think the proof has been in nathan fisher's responses the entire time. he's a damn good lawyer and since we can see that he's putting rp on a pedestal and starting to go after the varsity we can all safely assume rp did nothing wrong. i'm just tired of the guilty until proven innocent attitude surrounding everything around rp. i've maintained we should get rid of odom and tell the players to stop hanging around x carter, but i never once thought rp should be gone because he doesn't have a violent past like the two i just mentioned.
Bizarre statement to say the least. You and pjnchamps must be very insecure and afraid of losing because you seem to be making excuse after excuse for RP's behavior. This is a kid who was suspended from the team and who's name has been connected to other unsavory incidents. I got news for you, we will win with or without RP but it seems you two dont get it. :dis: Even if he is not charged he sure has a way of being around the ugly action. That alone is enough for many to think he is unworthy and at the very least needs to take a long hard ride on the pine.
My problem is when young men repeatedly get themselves into troubling situations. If it were not for past transgressions then maybe they wouldn't be so closely scutinized. I'd love nothing more than this incident be a case of a man trying to defend himself but with incidents in the past it is hard to believe that they were pushed around unprovoked. I think the suspension for the Bama game speaks for itself. It's obvious the coaching staff believes this situation should have and could have been avoided. I bartended for 3 years while going to school. I know I wanted people out as quickly as possible in order to complete my clean-up for the night so I could get home and get some sleep before class. That seems to be the case here and when asked to leave a grioup gets an attitude and refuses. Generally a good bouncer will be freindly and tell everyone it is time to go and to head outside. Maybe these guys were more aggressive, I don't know but refusing to leave an establishment after being asked, no matter how it was presented, will lead to trouble if you refuse. Sounds like a couple of kids need to learn the value of walking away from a confrontation instead of perpetuating it.
that is what a "damn good lawyer" is supposed to do, no matter if their client is innocent or guilty. :rolleye33: that tell us absolutely nothing. i am not gonna assume anything, either way. so please do include me in your "assuming".
I fail to see how it's the bar's responsibility to give you the heads up. Sure, screaming "Last Call!" is always helpful, but it's not on the bar staff to tell you what time it is. If you weren't smart/sober enough to close your tab in time, take the added 20% gratuity hit and pick up your card the next day. Better than having somebody pay your bail the next morning because you decided to have liquid courage and stand up to a bouncer. Even then, most bars I've been in will let you stick around if you tell em you need to pay your tab. As for the second rebuttal, I'm pretty sure those students from New Orleans who frequent bars in Baton Rouge are well aware that the bars close at 2am...
So because I dont say bad things about RP i believe we will lose that is the most ridiculous comment ever. We have WON without RP before and will WIN without in the future and can WIN with him. It's not like RP was starting or even playing alot in these past games. All I'm saying is dont be to quick to judge. RP has not been any other violent act like Odom has I can see where ppl are coming from with that because he has repeated act/arrest for violence in the same semester but some reason he was let back on the team which I was against. But to kick a guy off when he may not be at fault and only trouble was using his brother's id at a casino IMO is dumb. But DONT QUESTION my support for LSU.
