1. how can you call yourself a tiger fan and "accept" such terrible coaching?

furthermore, he can have an agreement in principle, and still leave. he can say he's not talking to anyone else but mean "i'm not talking to anyone else about it until after the game." i still have a glimmer of hope he'll leave...

he said what he had to say...
  2. Do you remember the 90s, or are you ten? If we got to be in the Sugar Bowl every other year, I'd crawl on my knees from here to New Orleans in thanks. I like MNCs too, but they're just gravy.
  3. I deleted my post. It was typed in the heat of the moment and over the top.

Let's just say I don't share your opinion and leave it at that.
  4. Maybe. I don't know sh*t.

Just didn't hear anything official in that statement.
  5. yes, i was around in the 90's...and i do love the sugar bowl berth...but i do not like National championship talent (2 years now) and piss poor coaching...

Miles is a great coach until game day when he's average. average isnt good enough for me...especially as much as my season tickets cost.
  6. two analysts on espn radio (didnt catch names) said miles was being a spin artist trying to stop the bleeding. the fact that there are several things he didnt say mean that he's off to UM or its still up in the air.

my guess is that its a done deal and some media got a whiff. its not been made official because of the game left to play.
  7. Herb was just on 98.1 to "clarify" that Miles will be the coach next year. Terms of agreement will be presented to board next week for approval.

He said sometimes when we are emotional we are not crystal clear in our words (paraphrasing).
  8. Consider the source.

Do you think O'Keefe & Bertman would have been at the podium if an agreement in principal hadn't been reached and they thought Les was going to Ann Arbor? I don't.
  9. This sounds more like ESPN is trying to cover it's tracks.

If you ask me ESPN is trying to be a spin artist.

They are also trying to make it out like Miles has been flip flopping his decision when in fact nothing could be furthur from the truth.

I would look for ESPN to keep pounding their Miles flip flopping tactic to cover their own bad journalism.

  10. In 3 years, LSU under Miles has lost one time to an unranked opp. Last week, to a 8-5 Ark team which was much healthier than us.

So, that's piss poor coaching? I was upset at losing as anyone. But you have to look at this dispassionetly. The state of the program is good. Solid recruiting, good assitant coaches, mulitple double digit wins the last three years.

With a new coach is a huge risk that the program could go sour.

So, who would you like to be the HC here? And please don't lay those pie in the sky names that are not even an option. Names like Spurrier, Saban, Gruden, Cowher, none of those guys are realistic options. Jack Del Rio? Never been a college HC, don't know if he can recruit, that's a huge risk.

Miles, I think is a pretty good option.
