I was just messin' with ya. You are a very straightforward poster, no doubt about it.

It wasn't a problem that he visited somewhere else, it was that he LIED to everyone by saying he wasn't in Tuscaloosa. Davis got what he deserved.

I don't believe there is anything official out but I believe LD lied to the LSU coaches about his visit to Bama denying that he had been there. I'm sure if he had gone to Coach Miles and let him know he wanted to take more visits it would have been okay with the understanding that we would continue to recruit at his position.

Oklahoma has now reportedly entered the picture for LD's services. If he cannot be an LSU Tiger, I'd rather see him go to the Big 12.

One could also suspect that Bama made him an unspecified offer he couldn't refuse.

I suspect Davis lied to his mama, and lied to the media, and probably lied to Nick. Then he lied to Les Miles, who can do better than that chit, and got his offer withdrawn. Nick isn't going to hold a lie against someone, but Les apparently does.

    Just musing.

    You have no idea

how right you are about LD. He was definitely on SC's radar but fell out early. At some point, we turned our attention to his good friend Ahmad Paige and LD promptly told him that SC/PC used dirty recruiting tactics and that he had been lied to by our coaches. Scout reporters asked him to explain the comments but he never would or did. Unfortunately it happened during a quiet period and coaches can't discuss players they are recruiting.

Ahmad Paige was scheduled for a visit to SoCal this weekend but it's been pushed back a week which means bama may be out of luck for their shot at him.

Luther is a talented player but he certainly has a lot to learn. Your coach has made a wise if not difficult decision.

I honestly am not expecting LD to end up at Bama. Luther thought he could get away with taking a little weekend trip, so he lied about it. He screwed up & he knows it. I'm going to guess Oklahoma, maybe he'll end up at Ole Miss or something though.

We've had several recruits mention that the coaching staff asked them not to take anymore visits so they didn't, it is ridiculous to think Luther & his mom weren't told the same thing.

Of course and Davis was at a funeral not Bama right? Who has a credibility problem Davis or the LSU coaching staff? Even a gump should be able to get that one right. Davis lied, now he has to take his show on the road and LSU is better off because of it IMO.

Why is he a smuck??? He hasnt committed anywhere. He has just as much right as everyone else to visit FSU. BTW, this isnt news, this visit has been scheduled for a while now.
