 News tips TCU coach
Gary Patterson made a point to say he likes, respects and admires LSU football coach
Les Miles. This doesn't necessarily means he agrees with him.
Particularly when it comes to a comment Miles made this week.
"The highest ranked team to come out of this conference [SEC] should well have an opportunity to play in the national championship game," Miles said.

To which Patterson said on Tuesday: "Just because you play in the SEC doesn't make you a great school. Do they have good football teams in the SEC? Yes, they do.... They [also] have a lot of teams in that league that haven't won a lot of ballgames."
Patterson is waist-deep into the perception battle as the Horned Frogs cling to their No. 3 spot in the BCS standings. With one game remaining against 1-10
New Mexico, the Frogs are battling a "schedule" debate.
They aren't alone. Did you know that eight of No. 1 Oregon's 10 wins are against teams with losing records?
With only two weeks remaining, by this point every team in the top 10 has done the following:
  Defeat a good team.
Seen a "quality" win turn out to be "-ish."
Hang on to win a game they could have lost.
Make a claim that it is the best team in the nation.
At this point, all TCU can do is defeat New Mexico. The rest is out of their hands.
"We won every game," TCU quarterback
Andy Dalton said. "We can't control other teams winning ballgames."
