No, it safe to say that both extremes harbor kooks and lunatics who from time to time get violent. Their professed causes range from religious to social to political, but many, like Charles Manson or the Unabomber are just crazy. Manson was tying to start a race war, which neither the left nor right advocate. Unabomber was trying to make a statement about technology, but his manifesto is almost unreadable and all over the political map.
Ayers is not a part of the Obama administration and never has been. They just know each other and Obama has condemned Ayers radical past. You are believing your own propaganda. Well, he hasn't engaged in terrorism since the 60's. What else matters? And he has nothing to do with the government. In your mixed-up world tree huggers and Timothy McVeigh are equal miscreants. Greenpeace putting sugar in bulldozer gas tanks is equal to militias trying to kill police and incite revolution. Hey we agree. Obama has not bombed public buildings. Nor has Rev Wright, Van Jones, Valerie Jarrett, Cass Sunstein, or Andy Stern, They are just people you don't like much. Hell there are people that I don't like much who are associated with George Bush. Convicted felons among them, but not terrorists. All I'm saying is that the radical right completely overshadows the radical left in terrorism and atrocities. I said nothing about John McCain or any mainstream conservative, not even Sarah Palin, the darling of the Tea-baggers, being involved in any such foolishness. In parenting and in substance abuse rehab, the most important thing is controlling your charges' associations. That's simply because those associations tend to influence behavior. Obama associates with left wing radicals, past and present. That's my point. And Ayers has publicly admitted he does not regret bombing and killing. I'd prefer my President treated him like the scum that he is.

For the record when Ayers and his wife were involved, the never killed anyone. The only death was one of their own who blew themselves up while making a bomb. It was after they left that some of their cohorts killed someone during an attempted/escape robbery. Ayers targeted property, not people. While they were absolutely wrong, it is not equivalent to what the Hutaree were planning. Most of Ayer's group were spoiled rich kids that wanted to be part of the revolution for the sake of revolution. They really had no vision of what and why they wanted change; they just wanted to be part of something big in history.
