Bring NOTHING.... but your walking shoes....walk around meet alot of LSU fans tell them why you are there and you will be treated like royalty....
Welcome to the forum and I hope you have a great time. Food abounds and the welcome mat is always out. LSU is famous for its tailgating and you will find out why.
That is funny LSUgirlinTx, but yep I can still party, only not around the grandbaby, I don't want him to think his grandma is a lush:lol:  He is too little to know the difference right now anyways.
Thanks to everyone for the great posts and the helpful advice. We leave tomorrow and are fired up to get the Death Valley on Sat. With a stag party in NO on Friday night, it helps that the game is set at 7:00. We have a reserved parking spot in an RV lot (spendy!) and plan on getting there between noon and 1:00pm. I know that is a bit late for you folks, but we should be ok right? Anyone have a link to a good map of the area so we know where we are headed? With only half a brain left after Friday night (and not much to start with) we will need all the help we can get! Any areas or things to see that are "can't miss" when tailgating in Death Valley? Would not want to miss anything. Most of us should be wearing Minnesota gear - at least Viking jerseys are purple. Would love to meet some of you folks on this board. Just to give you an idea of what college football tailgating is like in Minnesota, here is a quote from a guy complaining about tailgating where he lives downtown (300 kids - come on!!) It sucks to have a stadium right downtown in a major city. I expected panhandlers and sirens living in an urban setting, but 300 college kids setting up bars in vacant parking lots for an all-day party, serving underage students and urinating all over, that's another thing," said Wendorf, 39, president of the RiverWest condos. :geauxtige
To see where everyone tailgates: http://www.tigerforums.com/vbgooglemapme.php Like someone said- if you tell people why you're tailgating you'll be treated very well.
