Make sure you hit up Pat O'briens while you are down in the French Quarter. College gameday is on the parade grounds, so that is of course a can't miss. Other popular things on campus would include our mascot's $3 million habitat & our band's march down the hill. He would hate LSU's campus on a saturday. 300? Ha! I'm going to guess there will be about 40,000 college aged kids out there. College students are pretty spread out through campus for the hardest tailgating, but I'd say the greatest collection of them is on Nicholson. College students may not be as anxious to give away their beer as the older folks, but challenge them to a game of beer pong & they will open up.
Get there early morning, remember, Gameday is on the Parade Grounds so lot's of folks there too. Bring a Digital Camera and take some pics. We like to hear back from you and see where you went. Have safe trip down. :thumb:

Took me this long to recover so I could respond. After a night on Bourbon we made it to the stadium just before noon. Incredible to see the number of people on campus already. Hardest part of the trip was finding the parking lot. We bought a pass in Lot R and NOBODY knew where the heck it was. Every cop or guard we asked had no clue and we kept getting sent in opposite directions. I bet it took 45 minutes once we got to campus to pull into the lot, and after drinking 2 vitamin waters on the way it was not pretty. We set up camp in lot R and from then on it was awesome. We met a ton of people, ate stuff I didn't even what it was, had at least 4 different "layas" of some sort, saw Wisconsin get beat!, played washers and pong, saw the band run in, drank too much vodka, passed out just before game time, left in the 1st quarter, made it back to NO, watched the end of the game eating at Redfish (awesome ending), and hit Bourbon again. Funny we didn't hear much "Gator Bait" on Sat night! Overall an awesome time - be thankful for what you have in Death Valley. Would love to come back again.
