lsu had won the ap trophy previously. the macarthur NC trophy was started in 1959, therefore lsu had not won that trophy. the crystal ball trophy was started in 1984 so lsu had not won that one. we don't care about the ap because we already won that one, we won the ones we WANTED to win.
