I did my basic in the Bravo 35 barracks across the street from the MP HQ's, can't remember the name of the gym (Cunningham maybe) was right next door to our 3 story barracks. I was there in '94.
While my uncle was in training he said they had some guys complaining about the living conditions. The guys complaining had to crawl around the floor yelling that they were cock roaches living in a dust factory and they loved it. Anyone one who laughed was made to stand in a mirror and laugh at theirselves.
My pops was a signalmen on the USS Koelch in the 70s. He said they had one guy that just couldn't get in the right frame of mind. Just lost it during training and never got it back. The silly bastard jumped off the back of the ship while they were steaming in the Mediterranean. 18 hours of 50 ft seas finally broke him. They fished him out and he was sent home.
