How about in Baton Rouge, LA next October? Except instead of the bet hinging on BAMAs coach, lets make it on the oucome of the LSU/AU game. 326 days, 21 hours, 24 minutes, 56 seconds.
I guess I'm lost, I thought you were saying he (Saban) contacted them. I took what's below to mean there had been no contact (either way)... are you saying that since they didn't contact him, it was he who contacted them?
my quote: invalidates = the rumors in this thread about saban's interest/contact in the job was bs. otherwise he wouldnt have slammed them for firing little don. to summarize, we agree.
http://cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/story/9832341 here's the story, from those quotes it doesn't sound like saban will even think about it
You mean I made you all that trouble for you to make me understand that we were on the same page? SORRY!! :thumb: My reading comprehension skills are terrible; or maybe USMTiger was right and I am an idiot! :nope:
Rich Rodriguez would be a good hire for them. I wonder how he will handle the expectations of the Alum?
I really don't know why somebody like Rich would leave WVU to go to Bama where expectations are very very high and the pressure is much greater and the conference is brutal. He is worshipped in WVU, could more easily dominate that conference than the SEC and only has one other real program to beat in Louisville. He has had success for 2 good seasons but I don't think that prepares him enough for the trial by fire it will be in Bama if in fact he goes there. Does Bama have all their scholly's now? Of course the team has great history, it's a great conference for recruiting, and it is a great challenge.
