Good post red, but I still had to look that word up.

I'm sure we will see a lot more articles and examples of what Red was saying until November.

Miles had Katrina in his adjustment period....and still Miles did better with the talent on hand than the prior coach did the year before......that is all........

You wouldn't believe how they are pumping up and spinning Miles' comments and trying to make it into locker room material. I'm amazed that they don't seem to talk much about the LSU team, but have thread after thread about Les Miles and his "big hat" or his "blasting Bama" or his "fear of Nick" or his "lack of class".

Several have predicted that Les will be fired if he doesn't beat Nick, as if any coach with an 85% winning record has ever been fired. Others say that Les must win a national championship this year or LSU fans will turn on him.

They blame all of their problems on Shula, which they have now cured with the hire of Saint Nick. It's kind of sad, actually . . . and it reminds me of LSU during the Curley Hallman years--Bama has lost it's swagger and they are upset that LSU and Les seem to have it.

Like Agbarn, they are more concerned about the "class" of the LSU coaches or the fans and don't seem to realize that it is the very good LSU team that is coming to Tuscaloosa that they should be concerned about. These ain't the confident, "stay above the fray", self-assured Bama fans that we have been used to for several decades.

I miss those old Bama fans. They had style. They were stoic about the failure of Dubose and Curry and the treachery of Francionne. They had an admirable sense of humor about the moral demise of Price. But something fundamental changed under Shula. God help the new Bama nation if Nick doesn't turn things around. They may be tearing their crimson guts out.

Honestly, tho, I wouldn't be too quick to judge. We don't seem to be willing to let go of the split championship in '03, so we also have some measure of delusion.

What I find laughable about the article is that they can find some way to make 4 losses in two years as indicative that the coach is worthless.

Still tho, I'm worried that Miles seems to take pleasure in dramatic shows of bravado when on the subject of Bama. I don't remember the quote exactly, but didn't he publicly say, "We will ****ing beat their asses" or something in a press conference? A buddy of mine from Bengal Brass was at this event. That just seemed to be childish to me.

Let me get this straight!:grin:

So if LSU beats Bama this year Nick beats himself because of recruits but if Bama wins then Saban is responsible alone and Mike Shula's recruits had nothing to do with it?:grin: :lol:

I just can't get over the part of Nick beating himself!
