But AP isn't a prospect, is he? I mean he is already a current student. OU isn't getting thing out of the car dealer hiring his dad because they already have AP. Maybe if it can be proven that the car dealer hired the dad to keep AP from going pro for another year or two...

Here is the message that currently greets you at the dealerships websit:

The current ownership of Big Red Sports and Imports, headed by David Hudiburg, took over managment in April of 2006. Since that time, Big Red Sports and Imports has not employed any athletes from the University of Oklahoma. All the current allegations involve conduct under the previous ownership and management.

The current ownership has complied with all requests by the University of Oklahoma for information related to this situation.

Jeff Atkins, Counsel for Big Red Sports/Imports

If the business really drops off for the current ownership, I am wondering if there will be a lawsuit against the previous owner. Illegal activities that were not disclosed at sale hurting the business and all.

    Just a thought.

I believe Big Red sold right after the Peterson car deal became public. I wonder if that was just coincidence, or somebody in CYA mode? BTW, Big Red had some of the best radio ads around.

This whole situation smells ROTTEN. I cant see how Okie gets out of this without some kind of inquiry. That dealership probably burned all their previouos employment records.
