Our defense will be great except for the safeties positions, Steltz is good and proven, but Taylor doesnt have the experience, so u cant expect his outcome. As for the offense, as I watched MF this season, I wasnt impressesd at all, he's just a regular GOOD QB, he makes his throws and does what he can, unlike JR who has a magic touch on the ball, not to mention the heart of a champion that he has, 8 comebacks throughout his career, that's pretty impressive!! Also, MF has never been a starter throughout his career, here I mean as a starter for all/most of a season, so he'll be experiencing tons of pressures that come with being the no.1 QB on the team. As for Perrilloux, no one knows how good he is, the guy hasnt played yet. Yes, KW is going to be explosive, but still he's the third best, u forgot PJ, the poor guy is living under D-MACs shadow, but he is very very fine.

If the rankings are for the better team, then no. If the rankings are for the team with a better chance of making "the" run, then I can make a case for West Virginia. The others hell no. WV has lost zero playermakers. They play in a weak conference and the OOC schedule is a joke. Their main comp is Louisville (new HC and get them at home) and Rutgers. Rutgers is at home as well. LSU lost Jimbo and their starting QB. That automatically pushes you down unless you play outside of the SEC.
As for MF, dont get me wrong but he is a GOOD QB, but the Peach Bowl wasnt as good as ppl are talking about it, he threw for only 196 yards. Plus he runs the ball way too much, which worries me about the fumbles that are going to happen. But still, Im not saying he isnt GOOD, Im just saying we havent tried him for a whole season. Not to mention as I said before, there are tons of pressure that come with being no. 1 QB on the team. As for RP, the guy's awesome, he was the top recruit, I do know that. But the problem is that we dont know what he has to offer at college level. We know he's loaded with talent, but is he going to use it or waste it (remember a guy with the name JV?) So thats all Im saying, only next season would show us how really good we are, good thing we're playing VT early.
JaMarcus Russell averaged 203 yards/game per game last year so Flynn's 196 ain't too shabby. In fact, in his third year, Russell's av was 240 per game so Flynn's 196 against a favored Miami team.......... We'll be o.k. :thumb:
But that was a blowout, and I remember JR throwing for 332 on a blowout against ND. Not to mention that Addai wore down the Miami defense!! But Im not criticizing MF, I wont comment until I see him play full time.
I spoke to Richard Dickson (TE) last week and he said that Flynn is awesome. He said that Flynn is as athletic as they come. He seemed very confident in Matt Flynn and very excited about MF feeding him the rock. I'm JR's #1 fan, but I'm not worried a bit about the transition from JR to Flynn.
